<span itemprop="description">These are studio headphones, so don’t expect to have the bass and kick drum pounding in your ears. That’s not whar these are made for. These are great for monitoring, mixing, and even recording. Semi-open, so while they have some external sound bleed, they do not give you ear fatigue from hours of listening.
These are durable, too. Probably because they’re so lightweight. They certainly won’t break under their own weight.
These are the most comfortable headphones I’ve ever had on for hours and hours.
They come with 2 different types of ear pads and 2 different types of cables. Those should be the only parts you ever need to replace. I’ve been using these every day for over 3 years and I’m still on the original ear pads and cables that came with them.
Be sure to buy from an authorized AKG dealer. I’m seeing a lot of knock-offs being sold online!!</span>

<span itemprop="description">Purchased these a week ago to replace a pair of other headphones that had come to the end of their useful life. I owned the original model way back in the 1980s and thought that the new MK-II model would be worth a try. Compared to what these replace, the bass seemed rather too full, but I listened to some old recordings by Grace Jones and Robert Palmer and Steely Dan, to be sure that all was okay. Very surprised and impressed with the level of accessories that these phones come with: Spare lead and ear cushions, along with the 1/4" adapter. Also appreciate the light weight and the comfortable feel. An insignificant amount of acoustical leakage from the semi-closed design.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I did burn-in for 20 hours before using this headphones for listening music, hearing foreign language.
Pros: balanced, flat and no color sound. Mid sound is very clear (best for acoustic, live music and listening foreign language), high is comfortable, low is just enough. I can use for several hours without ear fatigue or feeling uncomfortable.
Cons: It's better for being used as the studio monitor haedphones than for listening music but I can use it for both usage.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I have ath mx50 and akg k240, both using for hifi music, especially from 70, 80, 90's lps. I am very satisfied with both, but akg 240 is much more detailed on mids and vocals, and much more natural on low end bass sounds. Also it gives very satisfiying bright results on trebles.</span>

i ordered a pair of these after reading about extended flat response. now i'm seeing graphs showing a real drop off at about 50hz. by 20 it looks like it's down by at least 12 db maybe more. after a 10k peak, the high end seems to take a dive as well.&nbsp;

I think you don't need any answer anymore, but for the others who can see it I'll answer. For that price/Quality Ratio, they are very good, if not the best (I don't work for AKG haha). I treat them very poorly and they are still working like a charm after 5 years of loyal service. You have to remember that they are Headphones and they will not replace a real high brand monitoring system, but you can reach an excellent result with them. I Use them for everything, from music production to Gaming (I have high brand gaming headphones but AKG stuff is sooooo confortable). If your budget is no more than ... let's say... 220&euro;, you won't find anything better in my opinion. Good luck in your researchs :)
